Cooper Update

Cooper has a new favorite spot.

Her Spot

It took me days to figure out why she wasn’t interested in looking out the front door.  I would open it and beckon her over, but she had absolutely no interest in looking outside with me.  That’s very weird for her.  Then I realized that I should have remembered: she is not a fan of non-carpeted floors!  (Too cold and slick, I presume.)  Either way, the second I laid down a spare rug we have, she was instantly at the front door watching any and all commotion outside.  It was pretty awesome.  :-)  In fact, she’s currently growling/barking at something she sees outside…

On a different note, David and Cooper have a new game.  I’m pretty sure it’s a “let’s see who’s dominant” game, but here’s how it looks:

The Nose Game

They can sit like this for several minutes at a time.  I wish I would have gotten a picture about three minutes before this.  As the game goes on, their noses just get higher and higher and higher.  It’s seriously a “who can gain the most altitude” type of thing.  Either way, this was the beginning of another round, and it’s pretty funny how serious they both are about it.  David cracks up every time.

Cooper is adjusting to the new place pretty well.  She’s not a fan of going in the backyard in the dark, which we haven’t figured out yet.  She just got her toys out today, and happily carried them throughout the house.  She didn’t eat well for the first couple of days we were here, but her appetite has now returned.  She’s not a fan of change, so I’m glad she’s finally adjusting.

  1. You’ve changed her world again! Poor dog…. she likes change as much as Bro. Randy – give me a couple of years to think about it……then maybe I’ll like it. I’m glad you figured out why she didn’t like the front door – talk about your persnickety dogs! :-)

    • LOL!! Yes, that’s about how she is. She’s enjoying the new house now, though. For some reason, her preferred spot to chew on her bone is upstairs in the game room. She’s left her bone up there and goes up there throughout the day to chew on it. Weird… And yes, we DO have a persnickety dog, but we’ve known that for a while. :-)
